Thin Pre-Stressed Cladding

Arcis thin prestressed technology provides
numerous benefits over other options.

  • Cavity wall construction
Due to the thin nature of our panels they can be installed outside of the building envelope and allow for exterior insulation and an air space.
  • Light weight
Similar to the weight of plaster, our thin precast skin panels can greatly reduce structural costs for floor plate framing and the building lateral system as compared to brick or conventional precast.
  • Design Flexibility
Our thin panels allow for a multitude of attachment details for use in many different applications.
  • Added floor space and rentable space
A thin skin allows for increased floor size.  Rentable floor space is typically calculated to the back side of the precast.
  • Green
Many systems boast “green” construction, but our thin panels use less material and last longer than other options as well as incorportate recycled material.
  • Accelerated construction schedules
Since the structure can be fully enclosed and waterproofed prior to panel installation, our panels are usually off the critical path of the project.
  • Replaceable panels
Most of our attachment systems allow for replacement of individual panels if required.

Testimonial

“RDH Building Sciences, Inc. has consulted on several high rise residential towers in the Portland area over that last 5 years that utilized the Arcis thin precast panel system. We found the system to be very accommodating and well suited to our rainscreen design strategy, while giving the aesthetic of a heavy architectural precast cladding. This assembly provides all of the necessary elements of a cladding material to implement an effective, high performing building enclosure system.”
